`Runner Beans to Playstation' - Food Education Project

Celia Spouncer is currently running a food education programme with 8 primary schools in Northern Ireland called `Runner Beans to Playstation'. She has received funding from UnLtd. The aim of the project is a programme of connected learning about food through tasting, growing, art, cooking and celebration of food. Celia is working with different artists with this project as well as undertaken some of the art projects in a celebration of food issues and children. Part of the programme has an inter-genrational element and we have endeavoured to encourage parents and grandparents to assist with growing the vegetables. Celia will be presenting a workshop on Edible School Grounds at the Terra Madre Ireland Conference in Waterford Ireland September 4-7th.
